![]() This is a 1st world war medal group to Pte William Sterling of the Durham Light Infantry. Sterling was killed in action on 23rd April 1917 aged 32. He was killed during actions on the Hindenburg Line, the group consists of The War Medal, Victory Medal, Memorial Plaque, Scroll and postcard photograph of him in uniform. We have a catalogue of information regarding this soldier who has been fully researched. This all comes together in a folder and makes interesting reading. Medal groups are emotive and bring back to life the story of soldiers long since forgotten.
